Many of the people I work with are carrying the effects of childhood trauma, sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, dissociation, and painful early relationships. They may feel overwhelmed, shut down, disconnected from themselves, responsible for everyone’s feelings, or confused by reactions that feel bigger than the situation. They may overthink, people-please, avoid conflict, panic when relationships feel uncertain, or replay things long after they happened. I help adults understand why the past still feels so present and begin to change patterns that feel hard to stop.
