Going to therapy can feel like finally deciding to work on organizing that one drawer in our home that’s become the headquarters for everything we tuck away with each passing day, consciously and sometimes without any thought at all. Maybe just opening it to look at what’s inside feels a little daunting. There are some treasures we absolutely love in there, some things that spark reminders of our resolve and resilience throughout some of our challenges, and other things thrown in there that we may have wanted to leave unseen and untouched. One might wonder, “Where do I begin with trying to make sense of how to organize this?”
