I’ve come to learn that being a therapist isn’t about the ability to "solve problems", it's about creating space, safely and intentionally, while being immersed and connected to your story, and the change you desire for your life. It's a place where we pause, fast forward and rewind time while we walk together to identify resistances, walls, hurt, and unhelpful patterns. We evaluate what we've come to believe about ourselves, the ways in which we see our world, and how we believe the world sees us (our protective and defensive mechanisms).
