I enjoy working with people who tend to over-function (i.e.: at work/school, at home, in relationships) by taking on more responsibility than is reasonably theirs. Often, it can feel like the world rests on their shoulders and if they don’t keep juggling 1000 things at once then everything will fall apart. This can result in compulsive caretaking, chronic people-pleasing, quiet resentment and burnout. Our work focuses on helping their nervous system understand the important difference between caring vs. rescuing, assertiveness vs ‘meanness’, and self-preservation vs selfishness.
