I always take into consideration culture, identity, and traumas when selecting interventions to ensure I am sensitive to my clients’ lived experiences and triggers. I focus on cultivating a non-judgmental, compassionate, and warm environment to help clients feel comfortable to come as they are. I believe that in being vulnerable, there is bravery, strength, and an opportunity for positive change. However, I respect the pace at which clients feel comfortable sharing information about their lives. I view my clients’ thoughts and perceptions as assets and prioritize working as a team.
